Services for consumer bankruptcy under chapters 7 and 13 are provided for those who find themselves in financial distress. Clients are assisted in analyzing their financial situation and whether there are practical alternatives to bankruptcy. Assets, debts, income and living expenses are all reviewed and if it’s best for the client, petitions and schedules are prepared, filed and the client is represented at the first trustee’s meeting.

estate planning

This area of the law includes an evaluation of the client's specific situation and goals, which can be addressed by wills, powers of attorney, trusts, health care directives and transfer on death deeds. Proper planning can help avoid probate, minimize taxes and provide peace of mind.

Clients often come to this office to organize or modify their business organizations.  They are served by discussion about the proper entity, referral for tax considerations and finally forming corporations, limited liability companies, assumed names, shareholder agreements, succession planning, partnerships, and purchases and sales of businesses.  Representation in dispute is offered as well.

Clients with injuries and lawsuit claims are also counseled and provided with representation.
